Local TV has named Peter Maroney, currently president-GM of its WTVR Richmond, Va., to be president of its KDVR Denver (Fox) and Tribune's KWGN (CW) that it runs under a local marketing agreement.

Maroney had a seven-year stint as GM of WTVR Richmond. Stephen Hayes, WTVR's general sales manager, will step into the interim general manager's role while Local TV explores its options for the Richmond market. The company said it hopes to permanently fill the post within the next few weeks.
