del.icio.usDirecTV To Name PepsiCo Exec as CEO
PHILADELPHIA (AP) - DirecTV Group Inc. is naming the vice chairman of PepsiCo Inc. as its chief executive.
The nation's largest satellite TV provider said Wednesday that Michael White will take the position on Jan. 1. He is now also chief executive of PepsiCo International.
He replaces Chase Carey, who left to become News Corp.'s president and chief operating officer on July 1.
DirecTV is based in El Segundo, Calif. It serves more than 18 million customers nationwide.
