WorldNow Helps KUAM Guam Expand Online Reach
WorldNow, an online technology, content and revenue-solutions company for local media, has expanded its reach with the launch of KUAM Guam, an NBC and CBS affiliate owned by Pacific Telestations. WorldNow is providing KUAM with its full CMS and video platform in a multi-year deal.
KUAM had an online presence prior to joining WorldNow, but wanted to build and monetize its online business. KUAM was looking for a partner that could help it transition and build a new platform via phone and e-mail. Specifically, KUAM was looking for easy administration and control with its user interface, advanced metrics and reporting, the ability to stream live video and social networking capabilities.

"WorldNow's world-class technology, supplemental content, services and support attracted us to ink a deal with them," said Jason Salas, interactive media director, KUAM. "Since our launch, we have had several storms, big events and heartbreaking stories that really let us show off our new platform. In two days, we produced and published 63 stories and 17 videos and generated several hundreds of comments from our viewers. We are so excited about having a mobile site and the turnaround time for getting rich media online is better than it's ever been."
"We're thrilled to bring KUAM-TV into the WorldNow family and to expand our distribution further outside the U.S.," said Craig Smith, EVP sales and distribution for WorldNow. "KUAM is on the leading edge of delivering local media online and we are excited to have the opportunity to support their success."
