Mike Meara has been appointed director of sales at News-Press & Gazette Broadcasting, where he will oversee sales for the entire station group.

He comes to News-Press & Gazette from Gannett-owned KSDK St. Louis, where he was general sales manager for the past seven years.

Meara started his television career at KSDK as an account executive and was subsequently promoted to the position of local sales manager.

Prior to his most recent position with KSDK, Mike was general sales manager of KPLR, then the St. Louis WB affiliate.
