'Divorce Court' Renewed Through 2014-15
Twentieth Television today announced Divorce Court has been renewed through the 2014-15 season. Divorce Court, which is currently celebrating its 15th anniversary season, is set to return on the Fox Television Stations, as well as those of Tribune, Sinclair, Meredith and Scripps-Howard.
According to Twentieth, Divorce Court has delivered its highest November sweeps average since 2010; rising 23% versus the comparable sweeps month a year ago (1.6 HH vs. 1.3 HH). In addition, the long-running court program just hit a two-year weekly ratings’ high, marking Divorce Court’s highest household delivery (1.7) since December 2011.
Among all first-run syndicated programs Divorce Court ranks No. 3 in growth over last season (a 15% rise, 1.5 vs. 1.3 HH).
Regarding the announcement, Paul Franklin, EVP-general sales manager of Twentieth Television, said: “Divorce Court continues to thrive on daytime television thanks to Judge Lynn Toler and the outrageous couples that enter her courtroom each day. Lynn’s ability to simultaneously entertain viewers while compassionately counseling her litigants is translating to ratings highs; we are thrilled that Divorce Court will remain a key component on local station’s daytime blocks.”
Divorce Court is produced by Monet Lane Prods., Inc. and distributed by Twentieth Television. Gail Steinberg serves as Executive Producer.
