'Sanctuary' Goes To Syndication In Fall
PPI Releasing and executive producer/distributor Tricon Films & Television today announced a green light for a September 2013 broadcast syndication launch of the one-hour drama, Sanctuary that originally appeared on Syfy.
The series has already been cleared in over 78% of the U.S. including WABC New York, KDOC Los Angeles, WCIU Chicago and stations from the ABC Owned, Belo, Cox, Hearst, Fox, LIN, Meredith, Hubbard, Journal, Pappas, Post-Newsweek, Titan and Wiegel groups, among others. Sony Pictures Television has signed on to represent the series to advertisers.
Described as “CSI meets the X-Files”, Sanctuary stars Amanda Tapping as Dr. Helen Magnus, leader of the courageous Sanctuary team of investigators who track down, study and protect extraordinary creatures that secretly populate our world. The series famously began as a ground-breaking internet-only offering that drew nearly 4 million viewers and then scored one of the highest-rated series launches in Syfy network history.
