WPEC, Paper In Content Sharing Deal
Sinclair-owned CBS affiliate WPEC West Palm Beach, Fla. (DMA 38), and the Sun Sentinel have teamed up in an exclusive content partnership. The TV station and newspaper will share photos, videos and other forms of content, and staffers will make appearances across media platforms.
“This is an exciting opportunity to leverage the strengths of our talented teams across broadcast, digital and print, and elevate the news experience for our audiences,” said Sun Sentinel Editor Howard Saltz. “The partnership allows us to increase our organizational agility while delivering quality, relevant content to our audiences. It’s a win-win.”
WPEC General Manager Mike Pumo said: “This partnership is another step in CBS12’s commitment to be the one to turn to for the best content, breaking and investigative news in the area. Partnering with the Sun Sentinel gives the communities we serve the highest level of confidence that they are receiving the best information across all platforms in South Florida.”
In addition to partnering on content, investigative series, digital enterprises and community projects and programs, the Sun Sentinel will feature WPEC’s weather forecast daily in its newspaper and online at SunSentinel.com. “Sun Sentinel’s credibility in South Florida, as the largest home delivered newspaper, coupled with CBS12’s growth in Palm Beach market, make for a great partnership. We both have the same priority, issues that are important to our community, and now we are expanding ways to deliver news, information and solutions,” said Sun Sentinel President-Publisher Howard Greenberg.
