WMAK-DT Knoxville adding Retro TV Network
South Central Communications Corp.'s independent WMAK-DT Knoxville, Tenn., will offer Retro Television Network's programming lineup of classic TV shows on a digital subchannel in the 58th DMA beginning Monday, Sept. 8.
"We are excited to add RTN programming to our WMAK line-up," said David Williams, general manager of WMAK. "I am typically the person who takes programming calls from viewers and the No. 1 request in this market is for the type of programming that RTN provides. RTN's family-friendly, retro, fun programming will certainly be a hit with our East Tennessee viewers."
RTN is a new television network that provides each affiliate a customized feed with classic hit shows, in addition to local programming including news, weather and sports. RTN is specifically designed to go on a broadcast digital channel.
